P. André Katz Named to “40 Under 40 Hall of Fame”

June 1, 2014 – P. André Katz, principal at Katz & Stefani, LLC, was named to the Law Bulletin Publishing company’s inaugural “40 Under 40 Hall of Fame” in 2014.  Mr. Katz was selected from a pool of nearly 400 former eligible honorees for this inaugural award.  Mr. Katz was initially named as a “40 Attorneys Under 40 Illinois Attorneys to Watch” in 2000.

Mr. Katz began his career at McDermott, Will & Emery upon his graduation from Loyola University Law School.  In January 2008, Mr. Katz and his partner opened Katz & Stefani, LLC where they have clientele in the fields of business, sports and entertainment.  In addition, the firm has a strong reputation for being able to successfully handle international child custody disputes specifically involving the Hague Convention and Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Enforcement Act.  Also in 2008, Mr. Katz was appointed as Chairman of the Illinois Family Law Study Committee, enacted by House Resolution 1101, which was created for the purpose of studying and recommending changes to the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act (IMDMA).  In his capacity as Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Katz was responsible for submitting the Committee’s final report to the Governor and the Illinois House of Representatives, and he led the public review and proposed revision of Illinois’ divorce and child custody laws.
