Elana T. Viner

Elana Viner joined Katz & Stefani in 2010.

Ms. Viner received her B.A. from the University of Michigan, graduating with honors, and her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Viner was a Dean's Fellow with the National Institute of Corrections/Washington College of Law Project Addressing Prison Rape, a Student Attorney with the Civil Practice Clinic, and a member of the International Law Review. As an extern with the American Bar Association's Center on Children and the Law, Ms. Viner published an article entitled "Understanding Siblings' Rights in the Child Welfare System" for the ABA's ChildLaw Practice journal.

In 2008, Ms. Viner joined The Center for Family Representation, Inc., where she worked in an interdisciplinary team comprised of attorneys, social workers, and parent advocates to represent parents in child protective and termination of parental rights proceedings in Manhattan Family Court. In addition, she was responsible for representing clients on collateral issues stemming from the underlying charges, including child custody, visitation, paternity, and orders of protection. She has authored numerous appeals on behalf of clients appealing Family Court orders.

Ms. Viner is licensed to practice by the Illinois State Bar (2010) and the New York State Bar (2009). She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and American Bar Association.
