Ms. Clayman's impressive legal career began at one of Arizona's preeminent law firmsBrown & Bain (now known as Perkins Coie Brown & Bain)where she practiced civil litigation for many of the country's largest companies. She then joined the international law firmMcDermott Will & Emeryas an associate in the trial department and dedicated to the practice of matrimonial law alongside Katz & Stefani principal, P. André Katz. In 2001, Ms. Clayman continued building her now highly respected matrimonial law practice at Berger Schatz, where she was named a partner in January of 2004, before becoming a partner with Katz & Stefani, LLC at its 2008 inception.
A graduate of Middlebury College (B.A. International Studies, 1993) and Northwestern University School of Law (J.D. 1996), the Boston native was first admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 1996, and later the State Bar of Illinois in 1999 and the State Bar of Massachusetts in 2008. She is also a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.
Ms. Clayman co-authored, with P. André Katz, the article entitled "When Your Elderly Clients Marry: Prenuptial Agreements and Other Considerations," published in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Journal. In addition, Ms. Clayman was named a 2006-2007 Leading Lawyer and a 2008 Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star in Family Law.
